The Catholic University of America is the national university of the Catholic Church in the United States and is dedicated to advancing the dialogue between faith and reason. Its Center for the Constitution and the Catholic Intellectual Tradition (CIT) promotes scholarship that explores the relevance of the Catholic intellectual tradition for American constitutionalism. This X-Grant supports CIT’s 2026 conference on originalism and freedom of speech.
The Catholic University of America’s project, Promoting Secondary Education by Training Teachers in Nigeria, will evaluate the effectiveness of a promising program in Nigeria that trains teachers in educational methodology and leadership to improve learning in secondary education. The Lagos State Ministry of Education has committed to use the projects findings to expand the program and other similar initiatives.
