Grants

2023 ( 7 months)
$30,000

BudgIT Foundation is a leading nonprofit that uses technology to improve transparency in budgets and public spending and galvanize participation and accountability. This award supports travel for Nigerian anti-corruption practitioners to attend the World Bank’s Anti-corruption for Development (AC4D) Global Forum in Washington, D.C., in June 2023. The conference provides opportunities for accountability and transparency leaders to highlight Nigeria’s recent strides in anti-corruption through, among other approaches, the establishment of a beneficial ownership register. They are also able to establish partnerships with other stakeholders that are working toward better governance and integrity.

2022 ( 4 months)
$30,000

BudgIT Foundation is a leading nonprofit that uses technology to improve transparency in budgets and public spending and galvanize participation and accountability. This grant supports a minimum of four Nigerian civil society organizations to participate in the 2022 International Anti-corruption Conference in Washington DC from December 6-10 with the theme: “Uprooting Corruption, Defending Democratic Values.” This year's conference focuses on facilitating intelligence-sharing and game-changing partnerships that seek to further push anti-corruption efforts to the forefront of the global agenda. Participants at the meeting improve their techniques, tools, and skills on accountability and anti-corruption.
