The Center for Arms Control, Energy and Environmental Studies (CACEES) is a Russian think tank based in Moscow. The purpose of this grant is to address areas of concern in the nuclear security realm. First, it will examine Russia’s programs for nuclear power development and spent fuel management. Second, it will examine conventional strategic weapons and their impact on future nuclear reductions. The principle investigators of this project will engage with other Russian and international experts on these research topics. Funds will be used for partial staff salaries, travel, workshops, and publications.
