Presente.org

Presente – a network of Latinx and Caribbean immigrant organizations housed at Alianza Americas – is one of the largest online Latinx organizing groups in the United States. It was launched in 2009 to connect the thousands of young people pushing for immigration reform and a path to citizenship as part of the DREAMers movement. Today, its membership of more than 500,000 primarily Latinx young people use the power of social media and digital technologies to bring attention to issues they care about and use their collective voice to shape culture and influence policy change. This grant provides flexible support for Presente to carry out a strategic planning exercise in collaboration with Alianza Americas that will result in an integration of Presente’s digital expertise with Alianza Americas network of more than 55 immigrant rights organizations. This strategic planning exercise is expected to help scale the reach and impact of both Alianza Americas and Presente in amplifying the voices of Latinx and immigrant communities and ensuring they have a seat at the table on policy discussions that impact their lives.
