Shantelice White

Shantelice is deeply committed to process design and innovation and leads the team that delivers high-quality grant and impact investment operations across the Foundation. She ensures that the right processes and systems are in place to accomplish the goals and objectives of MacArthur’s programs.

Shantelice is an experienced grants management and nonprofit professional with 20 years of experience across the private, philanthropic, and nonprofit sectors. She has experience managing grant lifecycles and administering the grantmaking process for local and international grantmakers using 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) models.

Most recently, she served as the Director of Grants Management at Bainum Family Foundation in Bethesda, MD. At Bainum, she was responsible for centralizing all aspects of the grants and contracts management function as well as growing and mentoring a team. Before that, she held operations positions at Optica, Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, and the California Community Foundation. She began her career as an economic development practitioner, collaborating with local government, corporations, and community agencies to increase business growth and job creation.

Shantelice holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University, Northridge, and a Master of Science in Management and Leadership from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio Business School.

She is a member of PEAK Grantmaking and a Co-Chair of its Black Caucus. She also served as a Guest Editor of the fall 2022 PEAK Journal (Emergent Learning Playbook).
