Don Meyer

Senior Program Officer, Fellows Program

About

Don's work specializes in the arts.

Prior to joining the Foundation in 2013, Don worked for the Whitney Museum of American Art, where he served as the Project Researcher for the Collection Documentation Initiative for painting and sculpture. From 2011 to 2012 he was the Rose Herrick Jackson Graduate Curatorial Intern at the Yale University Art Gallery, where he helped prepare for a major travelling exhibition, Coney Island: Visions of an American Dreamland 1861-2008, which opened in 2015 at the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art in Hartford, Connecticut. Don has also worked as a Senior Researcher at the Dedalus Foundation (New York), where he focused on provenance research for the Robert Motherwell Catalogue Raisonné (Yale University Press, 2012). Additionally, he has held summer internships at the Museum of Modern Art and the Kimbell Art Museum (Fort Worth, Texas) and was a gallery assistant at Cheim & Read (New York).

Don holds Master of Fine Arts and Master of Philosophy degrees in History of Art from Yale, a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Williams College Graduate Program in the History of Art, and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Northwestern University.
