At Lever for Change, Cambria C. Khayat supports customized competitions by reviewing proposals, conducting data analysis, and managing relationships with donors and finalist teams. She also helps donors identify projects to fund through Lever for Change's Bold Solutions Network.
Prior to joining Lever for Change, Cambria served as the U.S. Projects Manager for Common Purpose, overseeing the U.S. portfolio. In this role, she led the planning and implementation of leadership development, cultural intelligence, and civic engagement programs aimed at investing in leaders at all career stages to effectively bridge divides. Before her time at Common Purpose, Cambria worked in various nonprofit programs, development, and research roles. Her previous positions include roles at the Center for Interfaith Cooperation, the Center for Urban Ecology and Sustainability, the United Network of Young Peacebuilders, the Desmond Tutu Peace Lab, and One Solution Global.
Cambria graduated Cum Laude from Butler University with a BA, triple majoring in Economics, International Studies, and Peace & Conflict Studies.
Cambria serves on the Associate Board of Chicago Cares, the Chicago200 Leadership Program Advisory Group, and the Young Leaders Fund at the Chicago Community Trust.
