Marquette Building Commits to Reduce Energy Use

The MacArthur-owned historic Marquette Building is committing to reduce its energy consumption by 20% over five years, joining the city’s Retrofit Chicago’s Commercial Buildings Initiative.  Chicago Mayor Rahm Emmanuel and U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu announced the initiative, which will save more than $5 million in annual energy costs collectively for the 14 participating buildings.  Read the City of Chicago press release or watch the announcement webcast.
