Grants

2015 (2 years)
$425,000

The Human Vaccines Project is a large-scale, multi-institutional bioinformatics initiative in which sequencing and human clinical research studies will generate massive amounts of genomic, cellular and clinical data needed to decode the human immune system. The Project’s Ethics & Policy Initiative will develop global standards and policies regarding the collection and use of this data and the intellectual property created by the Project. It will engage global regulatory agencies, academic and commercial researchers, and community/institutional review boards around these issues through a series of reports, meetings, and published recommendations. Grant funds will be used for staff, publications, and meeting expenses.
