National Academy of Education

Founded in 1965, the National Academy of Education advances high-quality research in the service of educational policy and practice.  The Academy is comprised of esteemed academic members who provide their expertise and scholarship to address pressing educational issues and help build the next generation of education researchers.  

To support a panel to study major policy issues facing the National Education Standards and Improvement Council, which was established under the federal Goals 2000 legislation.
