Founded in 1971, Landmarks Preservation Council of Illinois (Landmarks Illinois) preserves, protects, and promotes architectural and historic resources statewide through advocacy and education. Landmarks Illinois strives to make preservation more accessible, inclusive, and equitable by enabling community members to drive decision making about what places should be saved and which stories should be told. Landmarks Illinois equips people to save the historic places that matter to them through hands-on preservation strategies, funding, public education, and preservation policy. This gift provides general operating support to Landmarks Illinois as it works with an array of individuals and communities to advance inclusive preservation.
