Institute for Governance & Sustainable Development

The Center for Climate Integrity (CCI), a project of the Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, was conceived and developed in 2017 by litigators with extensive experience litigating against the fossil fuel industry and blocking industry efforts to obtain liability waivers from Congress.

CCI's central goal is to accelerate corporate and governmental policy changes that speed the energy transition from fossil fuels to carbon-free energy sources. This is achieved through holding the fossil fuel industry accountable for the climate damages they have caused. This award enables CCI to develop a multi-state campaign that provides strategic communications support for climate litigation.
