CFLeads is a national network of community foundations with a mission to build strong communities by advancing effective practices, sharing knowledge, and galvanizing action on critical issues. CFLeads conducts research, disseminates best practices, and provides field analysis in partnership with other philanthropy-serving organizations. Community Foundations for Civic Health, a new initiative of CFLeads, is aimed at increasing the number of community foundations confidently engaging in strengthening civic health in their communities. The initiative will create spaces for community foundations to coordinate efforts, build their own plans for civic health improvement initiatives, and access resources to carry out this important work and learn from one another.
CFLeads, founded in 1994 and based in Boston, MA, is a national network of community foundations working together to build strong places by advancing effective community leadership practices, sharing knowledge, and galvanizing action on critical, timely issues. Most recently, CFLeads has launched the Going All In initiative to help community foundations expand and deepen their community leadership, with a particular focus on racial equity. This grant provides CFLeads with flexible support for general operations.
