Humanos de la Montaña, was a recipient of the MacArthur Award for Creative and Effective Institutions in 2007. The award recognizes a group of small non-profits each year with up to $500,000, expanding on the Foundation's tradition of encouraging individual creativity and building effective institutions to help address some of the world's most challenging problems.
