Two recent reports by the Institute for Market Transformation, a MacArthur grantee, predict that new energy disclosure policies will drive competition to improve buildings’ energy ratings, leading to more jobs. Energy Disclosure and the New Frontier for American Jobs profiles business leaders who are rapidly adding jobs and expanding their client rosters thanks to those policies, while Analysis of Job Creation and Energy Cost Savings predicts more than 59,000 new jobs and energy cost reductions by up to $18 billion through 2020 should the policies be adopted at the national level.
