youth at school

Reports from the Council of State Governments Justice Center offer state and local governments recommendations to improve outcomes for youth who come into contact with the juvenile justice system. A report surveying all 50 states’ juvenile correctional agencies assesses how states are measuring juvenile recidivism data to inform policy, practice, and resource allocation, and how they can do more of this to improve safety and outcomes for youth. An accompanying white paper sets forth guiding principles and recommendations for reducing recidivism and improving other outcomes for youth involved with the system.
