The International Organization for Migration published the MacArthur-supported World Migration Report 2011: Communicating Effectively about Migration, which recommends a fundamental shift in the way people communicate about migration.  The study calls for an informed and transparent political and public debate in order to benefit from the diversity that results from migration; outlines the risks of maintaining the status quo; and includes a review of migration trends and major migration policy issues in 2010/2011.
