SPRINGFIELD, ILLINOIS — The Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice oversees juvenile offenders who are committed to the state of Illinois. Since its creation as a stand-alone agency, the Department has worked as part of Models for Change in Illinois to adopt more effective and developmentally-appropriate rehabilitative approaches. It will use this grant to conduct a risk and needs analysis of its population, assess its staff, analyze its facilities, and develop a new staff training and development center.

The MacArthur Foundation awarded Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice $480,000 between 2010 and 2013.
