BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON — New Course is a US-based organization that focuses on engaging women in natural resource management and sustainable development. The purpose of this grant is to improve the relevance of Pader Girls' Academy training by developing a curriculum on sustainable livelihoods and natural resource management within the context of post-conflict situations. New Course will also conduct a scoping exercise to identify training needs for young women in conflict-affected regions in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
The MacArthur Foundation awarded New Course $95,000 between 2003 and 2013.
