Our Grantmaking in Mexico

The Foundation began making grants in Mexico in 1986 and opened an office in Mexico in 1992. Today, MacArthur, supports work related to maternal health and criminal justice reform in the country. Support is provided to improve maternal and reproductive health by strengthening and supporting professional midwifery. Under its criminal justice reform efforts, the Foundation is making grants to safeguard the values of autonomy, impartiality, transparency, accountability, and effectiveness in the creation of the new National Prosecutor’s Office.
