Reviewing Abortion Laws in India
February 22, 2017 | Grantee Publications | Population & Reproductive Health

A report by Ipas, a MacArthur grantee, takes an in-depth look at India’s Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act and related laws, which govern abortion services. The report examines issues in implementing the law and provides summaries of related Supreme Court, High Court, and District Court judgments. The report is intended to help women, health care providers, and policymakers design education and training material to raise awareness about reproductive rights in India.
