Georgetown migration report

A toolbox developed by the Georgetown University Institute for the Study of International Migration, UNCHR, and other organizations provides concrete suggestions for states and groups who are contemplating or planning to relocate people to protect them from natural disasters and environmental change. The toolbox, developed with support from MacArthur, identifies recommendations for consideration when approaching planned relocations, including establishing and complying with an appropriate legal framework, addressing the needs and impacts of relocations on affected populations, and communicating with affected populations. Case studies are provided to illustrate how governments have dealt with specific relocation issues.
