GovLab

A report by The GovLab at New York University and Leiden University presents a framework for how humanitarian organizations can responsibly consider and use data. The report, developed in connection with the MacArthur Research Network for Opening Governance, assesses data use policies and principles from 17 UN agencies, international organizations, and government agencies. The report identifies key practices that help data approaches to be successful, including the implementation of evaluation and monitoring tools and putting strong data use policies in place.
