US Globe electricity 200

A report by the Natural Resources Defense Council demonstrates how the United States could reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 80 percent from 1990 levels by 2050, largely through scaling up clean energy sources and strengthening the electricity grid. The report is based on modeling of achievable efforts to ramp up energy efficiency, renewables, and electric vehicles, and building a smarter, more resilient electricity grid. The analysis shows the United States could get 80 percent of its electricity from solar, wind, hydropower, and geothermal technologies by 2050.
