Leveraging New Media to Improve Nigeria’s Future
New media has the potential to drive Nigeria’s political and economic development and build a robust democracy, according to several speakers at a conference on “New Media and Governance: Tools and Trends.”  Enough is Enough, a MacArthur grantee, together with other partners explored the role of new media to promote good governance in Nigeria at the two-day event. According to the conference report, speakers, including MacArthur’s Nigeria Country Director Kole Shettima, agreed that pursuing goals via platforms that leverage media, engage youth, and support the two-way information flow between citizens and government can result in extraordinary social and political change.
