A short film awards program inspired student and professional filmmakers to explore the dangers of nuclear weapons and materials through competition, with the winning shorts focusing on building public understanding about the size, safety, security, and expense of the world's nuclear arsenals. The inaugural Nukebusters 2015 Short Film Awards were supported by N Square, a $2.4 million pilot supported by MacArthur and other funders to foster collaboration, ignite the public imagination, and spark new ideas about how to eliminate the threat of nuclear weapons.
