The U.S. government launched a new website — DigitalLiteracy.gov — to provide libraries, schools, and workforce training centers tools to help teach computer and digital literacy skills. The site features the work of a number of MacArthur digital media and learning grantees as well as MacArthur-supported research. The Commerce Department's National Telecommunications and Information Administration created the site in partnership with nine other federal agencies as part of the Obama Administration's effort to expand national broadband access and strengthen the population's digital literacy skills.
