Lookingglass Theatre is the fifth Chicago theater to win the Tony Award for Outstanding Regional Theatre. The theatre follows in the footsteps of Goodman, Steppenwolf, Victory Gardens, and Chicago Shakespeare Theaters. Lookingglass, a long-time MacArthur grantee, was founded in 1988 by a group of young graduates of Northwestern University.
