Capacity Building: Midwest is a two-year program, led by Michael Kaiser, President of The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, which provides arts management training to over 30 culturally-specific arts organizations in the Midwest, most from the Chicago area. Eligible organizations must focus on producing artistic work that is for, by, or about African American, Latin American, Asian American, or Native American people. The program is jointly funded by the MacArthur Foundation, the Boeing Company, and The Joyce Foundation and will run until 2011.
