The International Center for Not-For-Profit Law, winner of the MacArthur Award for Creative and Effective Institutions, has announced its Civic Space Initiative, a three-year project that aims to protect and expand civic space by fostering and enabling legal environment for civil society organizations at the global, regional, and national levels. Among other objectives, the initiative will seek to develop and implement a set of indicators that measure the enabling environment for CSOs in various countries and to increase public awareness of civil society issues worldwide.
