IDA film grants 200

The International Documentary Association announced $850,000 in grants to 11 independent documentary projects that use the tools of investigative journalism in the innaugural round of the MacArthur-supported Enterprise Documentary Fund. The films selected examine topics including the police killing of Laquan McDonald in Chicago, the online harassment of women, and domestic surveillance of Arab-Americans. In addition to the production and development grants, the association will also provide mentorship, training, and access to additional resources to support the projects.
