Recognizing the potential for technology solutions to reflect the perspectives and needs of residents, Chicago's City Tech Collaborative aims to improve essential urban services and infrastructure, from skills to skyscrapers. Specifically, the Collaborative is focused on easing subway congestion during large events, creating a digital map of Chicago underground, and launching a digital directory of public health services in Chicago. Resulting from the merger of the Smart Chicago Collaborative and City Digital, City Tech is based at UI Labs and supported by MacArthur.
