Building Peace

A five-part series in Crain’s Chicago Business highlights proven and promising approaches to address gun violence, starting with a piece co-authored by the presidents and chief executives of the MacArthur, Joyce, McCormick, and Polk Bros foundations. The authors outline the coordinated efforts of more than 30 local funders who formed the Partnership for Safe & Peaceful Communities. They argue: There is no one solution to gun violence. That is why we are aligning our resources on several innovative strategies to address this issue through evidence-based programs, community engagement and policy change. We do not have time to waste.”
