Selected from a pool of more than 1000 applications, the MacArthur Foundation and HASTAC announced awards of up to $238,000 for 17 projects that are expected to produce promising innovations in the use of digital media for learning. Awards were made in two categories: innovators building learning environments, and communicators of the field’s best new ideas. The competition is supported by a MacArthur grant to the University of California in collaboration with Duke University.
