Tribeca Fund to Support Short Documentaries
February 27, 2017 | From the field | Journalism & Media

IF/Then, a filmmaking initiative by the Tribeca Film Institute, will award grants and provide year-round distribution mentorship to filmmakers creating short documentaries. The program, developed in partnership with and supported by MacArthur, is designed to reach new audiences with American and international stories and empower more diverse voices in short-film storytelling. It will foster multi-platform distribution and financial sustainability for more short filmmakers in an increasingly complex marketplace. IF/Then participants will be selected from pitch competitions at festivals, as well as from alumni grantees across Tribeca’s filmmaker program.
