Civil Society Action Coalition on Education for All

Civil Society Action Coalition on Education for All (CSACEFA) was established in 2000 as a coalition of nonprofits advocating free, quality, and inclusive education for Nigerians. With the goal of promoting effective and efficient utilization of public funds in the education sector, CSACEFA is mobilizing community groups to monitor the newly-launched national feeding program and resources allocated by the Universal Basic Education Commission and Kaduna and Lagos States Basic Education Commissions. This award is part of a larger package of complementary awards that is expected to increase transparency in education finances in select states, strengthen local accountability practices, and contribute to a reduction in corruption.
