The Connect U.S. Fund was created in 2004, and seeks to advance responsible U.S. global engagement in an increasingly interdependent world. The goal of this project is to increase public awareness of and attention to the 2012 Nuclear Security Summit in Seoul, South Korea, specifically, and the importance of nuclear security generally. Connect U.S. will draw on the expertise of the Fissile Material Working Group. Funds will be used to support pre- and post-summit press conferences, travel and accommodation to South Korea, publications, media engagement, and salaries for project directors.
