    CHICAGO, ILLINOIS — Silk Road Rising creates theater and videos that tell stories about Asian American and Middle Eastern American experiences. Its goal is to communicate the histories, perspectives and beliefs of Silk Road peoples to American audiences. Through this exchange, Silk Road Rising will engage in an artistic exchange with the LichthofTheater in Germany to translate, publish, and present a play on Muslim culture to be presented in both Germany and Chicago. This grant funds direct project expenses: travel, accommodations, artist fees, publishing, and documentations. It is recommended as part of the International Connections Fund.
