    MONTERREY, MEXICO — Ciudadanos en Apoyo a los Derechos Humanos is an organization dedicated to promoting and defending human rights in Nuevo Leon state through litigation and advocacy. The award supports efforts to improve mechanisms for investigating disappearances through implementation of a federal protocol. It also supports activities to improve accountability of state agencies in charge of assisting victims and actions to strengthen the Specialized Group on Immediate Search, a government-led entity in charge of promoting expedient searches of disappeared persons. 

The MacArthur Foundation awarded Ciudadanos en Apoyo a los Derechos Humanos $100,000 between 1978 and 2017.
