Grants

2023 (2 years)
$500,000

Ceres is a nonprofit organization that advances leadership among investors, companies, and capital market influencers to identify and implement solutions to challenging sustainability issues. The organization mobilizes a powerful network of over 220 institutional investors, companies, and public interest groups to accelerate and expand the adoption of sustainable business practices and solutions to build a healthy global economy. This award supports Ceres’ Freedom to Invest campaign, an effort to build a broad coalition of mainstream industry messengers to respond to the growing attacks on environmental, social, and governance investment policies; support the growing momentum of investors, banks, and companies to make and implement their net zero commitments; and ensure that policymakers and regulators continue to act prudently on climate change and sustainability issues. The Freedom to Invest campaign supports Ceres’ efforts to facilitate an effective private sector response to the climate crisis, which ultimately benefits the environment, creates jobs, and drives inclusive economic development.
