Human Rights Resource Center

A three-year grant of $300,000 has been awarded to the St. Petersburg-based non-profit Human Rights Resource Center, which specializes in providing legal assistance to the non-profit sector in support of a project to advance access to justice in Russia, with special regard to the right of association. The funding will support a project to provide legal advice to non-profits, build the professional capacity of non-profit lawyers, monitor freedom of association, and raise awareness of the role of civil society organizations in Russia. Foundation dollars will be spent on salaries, two conferences, training workshops, publications, and a website.
