Mujeres Latinas En Accion (Latin Women in Action)

Founded in 1973, Mujeres Latinas en Acción empowers Latinas through a variety of initiatives that promote non-violence, reproductive health, and leadership development. Its Latina Leadership program creates safe spaces for women, many of whom are immigrants and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. With this award for professional development, staff and Latina leaders participate in community organizing training offered by Community Organizing & Family Issues (COFI).
