The purpose of the grant is to identify and document evidence on the quality of maternal care in in Nigeria. APHRC will synthesize existing evidence on the state of maternal health as well as barriers to quality maternity care in Nigeria; conduct a systematic review of strategies that have been effective in improving quality; and explore experiences, views and perspectives regarding what quality maternal care means to Nigerian women.
