Grants

2014 (1 year)
$350,000

The Vermont Energy Investment Corporation is dedicated to reducing the economic and environmental costs of energy consumption through cost-effective energy efficiency and renewable technologies. Energy service companies, which are privately-held or investor-owned businesses, focus on large projects with high returns on invested capital, and that model leaves many buildings on the sidelines, especially those located in low- or moderate-income communities and/or of small or medium size, such as affordable rental housing. The grant funds a new energy service company that will yield greater customer savings, substantially reduced energy use, and dramatically lower carbon emissions.
