    Arts & Culture in Chicago

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS — This grant will support the continued operation and technological improvements to the Chicago Artists Resource (CAR) website (www.chicagoartistsresource.org). The site now provides listings of events, jobs, opportunities for artists, and space availability along with curated content such as professional stories, articles and links to resources in five disciplines (visual arts, performance, theater, music and literary arts). In 2012, CAR had more than 3.3 million page views and 372,000 unique visitors. Over the next three years the Coalition plans to increase CAR’s original content; add three new disciplines - culinary arts, fashion, and digital media/film; and introduce new features that help match artists with potential employers.
