Columbia College Chicago, Center for Community Arts Partnerships

The Center for Community Arts Partnerships at Columbia College aims to transform the lives of young people in Chicago through arts education. This grant will support the Convergence Academies, a school reform model developed in collaboration with the Chicago Public Schools to turn around failing schools by infusing digital media and technology into all aspects of learning. The Convergence Academies is a recipient of an Investing in Innovation (i3) grant from the U.S. Department of Education; this MacArthur support helps to meet the 15 percent match from local donors required by i3.
