The Nehru Foundation for Development-CHETNA and the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) have proposed a project that will demonstrate a model of convergence of various public programs for youth to strengthen sexual and reproductive health education and services for youth. This project located in the state of Gujarat will demonstrate a comprehensive youth health and empowerment program to increase efficiency of services, improve quality, lower costs, minimize duplication of effort, create demand for young people’s health services and enhance sustainability of programs. CHETNA will be responsible for the implementation of the intervention, while PHFI will provide research inputs and evaluate the project.
To deliver sexual and reproductive health information and services to young people in the state of Gujarat (over three years).
To support a training and advocacy project to improve young people's reproductive and sexual health in Gujarat and Rajasthan (over three years).
To support the Women's Health and Development Resource Centre and for research projects on male involvement, violence, and women's health (over three years).
To support efforts related to the Fourth World Conference on Women.
To suport a women's health program (over three years).
