Global Forum on Migration & Development to Host 2011 Concluding Debate

Member States and Observers of the United Nations will gather in Geneva, Switzerland on December 1-2, 2011 to participate in the Global Forum on Migration & Development’s 2011 Concluding Debate. Participants will discuss the results and conclusions of some 14 thematic meetings around the world under the central theme, “Taking Action on Migration and Development – Coherence, Capacity and Cooperation.” MacArthur is the largest nongovernmental donor to the Global Forum on Migration and Development, which is an annual gathering of more than 140 governments aimed at encouraging international cooperation to increase the benefits of migration.
