Foundation Staff: Investments

Buck Betten
Manager, Derivative Strategies

Buck Betten is the Manager of Derivative Strategies. His primary responsibilities include managing the Foundation’s derivative-based hedging and tactical asset allocation program.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Betten worked as an options market maker for Susquehanna Investment Group (SIG) on the floor of the NYSE Arca options exchange in San Francisco. Before that, he traded for SIG for five years as an equity and index options specialist on the floor of the Chicago Board Options Exchange.

Betten earned his MBA with honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business concentrating in econometrics and statistics, finance and general management. He graduated magna cum laude from Brown University with a degree in business economics. Betten is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
