A set of ten fundamental principles can help companies, governments and civil society preserve biodiversity, according to an updated report by Forest Trends, a MacArthur grantee. The report examined the progress of the Business and Biodiversity Offsets Programme, a collaborative effort to develop a Standard on Biodiversity Offsets to help companies, lenders, governments, civil society and auditors establish sustainable conservation programs to achieve no net loss or net gain of biodiversity.
